Ireland have announced their squads for the T20I and ODI series against Zimbabwe women, slated to start from July 20. The side will be led by Gaby Lewis in both T20Is and ODIs, while Orla Prendergast will be serving as her deputy. The three-match T20I series will be played at Pembroke Cricket Club, Dublin.

Later, both teams will lock horns in the two ODIs, set to be played at Civil Service Cricket Club, Belfast. The squads are packed with Christina Coulter Reilly, Laura Delany, Amy Hunter, Louise Little, and Sophie MacMahon. Meanwhile, all-rounder Lara McBride has bagged her maiden international call-up.

“These matches against Zimbabwe - followed by the T20I series against Pakistan - are a crucial lead-in to the all-important T20 World Cup Qualifier in late August. It has been great to see a first call-up for Lara McBride who has been working hard on her game, and the upcoming series is also Lloyd Tennant’s first matches as Head Coach, so we wish Lloyd and the squad well,” Ciara O’Brien, Ireland’s national women’s team selector said.

Ireland T20I squad: Gaby Lewis (c), Ava Canning, Christina Coulter Reilly, Laura Delany, Amy Hunter, Arlene Kelly, Louise Little, Sophie MacMahon, Jane Maguire, Lara McBride, Cara Murray, Leah Paul, Orla Prendergast, Rebecca Stokell.

Ireland ODI squad: Gaby Lewis (c), Ava Canning, Christina Coulter Reilly, Alana Dalzell, Laura Delany, Sarah Forbes, Amy Hunter, Arlene Kelly, Louise Little, Jane Maguire, Lara McBride, Cara Murray, Leah Paul, and Orla Prendergast.
