In a high-octane Super Four clash of the ongoing Asia Cup, India outclassed arch-rivals Pakistan by six wickets on Sunday at the Dubai International Stadium, chasing down a competitive target of 172 effortlessly.

After being put in to bat, Pakistan posted a total of 171/5 in 20 overs. The innings was anchored by opener Sahibzada Farhan, who played a fluent knock of 58 off 45 balls, delivering an aggressive performance. He found support from Saim Ayub and Mohammad Nawaz, both contributing 21 runs each, helping Pakistan to a solid total.

In response, India came out all guns blazing, courtesy of their young opening pair โ€“ Abhishek Sharma and Shubham Gill. The duo gave India a rollicking start, putting the Pakistani bowling attack under immediate pressure. Abhishek was the standout performer, smashing 74 runs, while Gill played a composed supporting role with 47, as the duo stitched a crucial opening partnership.

Despite losing a few wickets in the middle, India remained in firm control of the chase. Tilak Varma (30)* and Hardik Pandya (7)* held their nerves, guiding India to victory in 18.5 overs with 174/4 on the board.
