AFG vs BAN, 3rd T20I: Bangladesh aim for clean sweep as Afghanistan eye consolation win

Afghanistan and Bangladesh are gearing up for the third and final T20I of their three-match series, scheduled to be played on Sunday at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah. Bangladesh, who have already sealed the series 2-0, will eye a clean sweep going into the final contest. The third T20I also gives an opportunity to Afghanistan to salvage pride.
Bangladesh have looked dominant throughout the series, with strong performances from both batters and bowlers. Players like Tanzid Hasan, Parvez Hossain, Saif Hassan and Jaker Ali have stepped up, delivering top-notch performances. As they now head into the final, Bangladesh will be eager to complete a whitewash. A 3-0 result would provide a confidence boost heading into the ODI series that follows the T20Is.
On the other hand, Afghanistan will approach Sunday’s match with the goal of salvaging pride. Despite boasting a strong set of players, they have struggled to produce match-winning performances. Batting collapses and inconsistency with the ball have played a major role in Afghanistan's loss. Big names like Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Rashid Khan, and Mohammad Nabi will need to step up to help Afghanistan end the series on a high note. A win in the final match wouldn’t change the outcome of the series, but it would offer some consolation to Afghanistan.
