Rashid Khan reclaims the No.1 spot in the men's ODI bowler rankings

Afghanistan all-rounder Rashid Khan has become the no. 1 ranked bowler in ODIs following his greatly impressive performance in Afghanistan's 3-0 series sweep of Bangladesh in the recently concluded three-match ODI series. Producing an impressive performance, Rashid Khan snatched 11 wickets in the series at an average of 6.09 and an economy rate of 2.73. Rashid, who was previously no. 1 back in 2024, jumped five spots to reclaim the top position. He now carries 710 rating points, 30 points ahead of South African spinner Keshav Maharaj, who is sitting in the second spot.
Afghanistan batter Ibrahim Zadran, who emerged as the Player of the Series against Bangladesh, has moved up eight places to rise to no. 2 in the ODI batting rankings. Zadran, who top-scored with 213 runs at an average of 71 in three innings, was named player of the series. Meanwhile, in the ODI rankings for all-rounders, Afghanistan's Azmatullah Omarzai reclaimed the top spot after claiming seven wickets, the second most in the series.
He also contributed with 60 runs across all three ODIs. In Test cricket, India's talented bowler Kuldeep Yadav jumped seven spots to 14th after capping off the two-match series against West Indies as the highest wicket-taker. Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal also made gains, moving to the fifth spot following his 175-run knock in the first innings of the second Test in Delhi.
