Another fierce contest as Pakistan lock horns with Bangladesh in Super 4s
Pakistan and Bangladesh will be squaring off against each other in the super four match of the ongoing Asia Cup 2023 on Wednesday at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Pakistan have been incredibly superb in the tournament so far as they haven’t conceded any defeat yet. Pakistan’s bowling and batting has been the spectacle to behold as they have been flawless in their performance. But, Pakistan will have big task ahead against Bangladesh because Bangladesh have proven themselves as the stronger side in the ODIs. Pakistan are the No.1 ODI side in the world but this contest is going to be incredibly different after seeing both teams excel in ODIs.
Talking about performance from both sides, Pakistan are enjoying the crispy form from their skipper Babar Azam who has been absolutely great. Iftikhar Ahmed and Mohammad Rizwan too have shown great signs but Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq would hope to step up their efforts to help the team. Bangladesh, on the other hand, will be without their run machine Najmul Hossain Shanto who was ruled out of the tournament due to hamstring injury. For Bangladesh, Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Litton Das would be expected to help the team with runs. Experienced skipper Shakib Al Hasan too will have big task to help the team with his performance. Talking about head-to-head, Pakistan have the biggest upper-edge as they have won 32 of 37 matches against Bangladesh. This will also be the first time for both teams to play an ODI since 2019 ODI World Cup.
