India Women took a huge lead after getting a strong start in their second innings with Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana scoring (33) and (26) respectively. Top-scorers in the first innings remained Satheesh Shubha (69), Jemimah Rodrigues (68), Yastika Bhatia (66) and Deepti Sharma (67) who took the team to an impressive total of (428). England Women in their first innings were bowled out for (136) with Nat Sciver-Brunt being the top-scorer with her (59) runs. For India Women, Deepti Sharma took five-wicket haul to dismantle England Women’s batting order. At Stumps on day two, India Women were 186/6 as they are having an impressive 478-run lead. On day three, India Women would hope to set a humongous target for England Women as it will be a mammoth challenge for them while chasing the score. India Women are eying a big win as they haven’t lost any Test match at home since 1995.
