Unbeaten at home, GT look to continue with the rhythm

News

Gujarat Titans have been insuperable at home, with their overall two victories in last three games coming at home. Titans have made a brisk start to their IPL 2024 campaign under the leadership of young Shubman Gill. They would hope to continue in that direction and record their third victory at home.

Titans are gearing up to host Punjab Kings in the 17th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League on Thursday at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Titans, in their last games, have demonstrated their ability to dominate proceedings with a balanced combination of a formidable batting and bowling lineup. Afghanistan trio of Azmatullah Omarzai, Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmad making their cut in the last game did a brilliant job with both ball & bat. Titans had beaten high-flying Sunrisers Hyderabad in their last game.

On the other hand, Punjab Kings have experienced a mixed bag of results in the tournament. They got off the mark with a brilliant win, but copped two back-to-back defeats, finding themselves in a risky situation.

They had their defeats against RCB and Lucknow in their last games. It will be incredibly significant for Punjab Kings to bounce back into the tournament. Additionally, the duel between Titans' spinners and Kings' aggressive middle-order batsmen is likely to play a crucial role in determining the outcome of the match.
