India march into the final after outplaying England

India marched into the final of the ongoing T20I world Cup after outclassing England by 68 runs on Friday in the semi-final at Providence Stadium, Guyana. Defending champions England were knocked out of the tournament, bringing a harrowing end to their title defence. England failed to chase India's challenging total of 171.

Intermittent rain at times had threatened to ruin England's title defence but it was again Rohit Sharma hurricane, coupled with incredibly outstanding bowling that sent England packing. Rohit Sharma, fresh off a tremendous knock against Australia, made 57 to power India to a challenging total of 171. Suryakumar Yadav also did a brilliant job, hitting 47 off 36 to contribute to India’s score.

In response, England faced a daunting challenge from India's bowling attack, particularly the spinners who wreaked havoc on their batting lineup. India's spin duo Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav spun a web around the England batsmen, consistently taking wickets and building pressure. England's meltdown began, with indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah and spinner Axar Patel removing Phil Salt [5] and Jos Buttler [23] respectively.

England were bundled out for 103 as their robust batters failed to face India's formidable bowling attack. It came as a decisive revenge for India’s 10-wicket loss against England at the same stage during the T20I World Cup 2022. Indian spinners Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav mastered the dry surface at Guyana, returning with three wickets each. This is the massive opportunity for India to end their 13-year ICC title drought.
