ENG vs AUS 1st T20I: Australia continue their dominance, overcome England by 28 runs

Australia came out all guns blazing, delivering a commanding performance in the first T20I of the ongoing three-match series against England on Wednesday, and securing a resounding 28-run victory. This win comes on the heels of Australia’s 3-0 series sweep against Scotland last week.
Australia, put in to bat first, posted a formidable total of 179 runs in 19.3 overs before being bowled out. The innings was anchored by explosive contributions from Travis Head and Matt Short. Head, with his aggressive batting, scored 59 runs, while Short added a valuable 41 runs.
In response, England’s chase was undermined by a disciplined Australian bowling attack. England were dismissed for 151 runs in 19.2 overs. Despite some resistance from Liam Livingstone, hitting 37 off 27, the target for England proved too steep as Australia’s bowlers consistently put pressure on the opposition. For Australia, Sean Abbott took three wickets, while Josh Hazlewood and Adam Zampa returned with two scalps each.
