India name new-look squad for Bangladesh T20Is

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a 15-member squad for India’s upcoming three-match T20I series against Bangladesh, beginning on October 6. A great number of young players have been included in the squad, with Rinku Singh, Riyan Parag, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Shivam Dube and Washington Sundar in the squad. 

The most conspicuous inclusion was the young pacer Mayank Yadav, who took the IPL 2024 by storm with his fiery spells. The squad also saw the return for spinner Varun Chakarvarthy to the national side. Suryakumar Yadav will be leading the side. The first T20I will be played in Gwalior on October 6. 

India squad: Suryakumar Yadav (c), Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson (wk), Rinku Singh, Hardik Pandya, Riyan Parag, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Shivam Dube, Washington Sundar, Ravi Bishnoi, Varun Chakaravarthy, Jitesh Sharma (wk), Arshdeep Singh, Harshit Rana, Mayank Yadav.
