Hazlewood likely to miss the remainder of BGT

Australian pacer Josh Hazlewood is set to miss the remainder of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy against India after sustaining a calf injury on day four of the third Test at the Gabba. Hazlewood, who bowled only one over on the day, was forced to leave the field after experiencing discomfort, and subsequent scans revealed that he had strained his right calf.
"A squad replacement will be made in due course," said a CA spokesperson.
Hazlewood’s injury represents a significant blow to Australia’s bowling lineup, with the fast bowler having been a key figure in their attack. He also claimed the crucial wicket of Virat Kohli on day three of the ongoing third Test. Meanwhile, he had missed the second Test as well due to fitness setbacks.
