Romario Shepherd and Liam Livingstone link up with RCB squad

Romario Shepherd and Liam Livingstone have joined the RCB for the remainder of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Romario was accompanied by fellow West Indies stars and KKR players Andre Russell, Sunil Narine and KKR mentor Dwayne Bravo. However, Romario’s participation raises questions due to his concurrent commitment to the West Indies' white-ball series against England, which commences on May 29—the same day IPL playoffs are scheduled to begin.

England’s young gun Jacob Bethell has also joined the RCB squad and is likely to be seen in RCB’s upcoming clashes against KKR and SRH. Meanwhile, Jacob Bethell, who is also part of England’s squad for the upcoming white-ball series against West Indies, will miss the playoffs.

RCB have done pretty well so far this season, having clinched eight victories from 11 games. They are positioned second in the points table with 16 points and a positive NRR of +0.482. However, there is huge uncertainty looming over the availability of Australian bowler Josh Hazlewood and South African pacer Lungi Ngidi, who will join their national sides for the WTC final, scheduled to be played in June.
